Accounts Assistant - Maternity Cover (9-12 months) (30 hours per week)

The Role

We are looking for an experienced Accounts Assistant to cover a period of maternity leave at our Head office in Kent.  

The role is based on 4 days per week; 9:00am - 5:30pm. Equalling a total of 30 hours per week. The role is flexible in terms of the working days (subject to agreement in advance from the Head of Accounts). 

The role is perfectly suited to individuals who have worked in a finance department and have accounting experience in credit control, sales/purchasing ledgers, payroll, expenses and general bookkeeping.  

 

Essential Skills

 A minimum of one year’s experience in a similar role

 Previous experience of using Sage Line 50

 Previous experience of using Sage Payroll

 Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and Outlook)

 Excellent numeracy skills and attention to detail 

 Ability to work under pressure and maintain accuracy

 Confidence to handle over the telephone and via email

 Capable of prioritising workload

 Processing company expenses

 Purchase ledger

 Other ad hoc duties as required

 Responding to customer and supplier queries

 Direct debit collections

 Maintain customer contract information
