Marketing Account Executive

The Role

This exciting role will see you taking a lead role in the development of digital marketing campaigns for some of the leading brands in automotive retail.

§  Responsible for the contact, planning and strategy of a portfolio of some of our most established automotive clients.

§  High-level planning of marketing campaigns for new and existing clients.

§  Dealer engagement at board level/senior management to pitch marketing services and multi-channel marketing campaigns.

§  Build and maintain client relationships to promote client retention.

§  Using effective objection handling techniques to manage client relationships and expectations, of some of our more challenging clients.

§  Working with internal teams and processes to bring campaigns to fruition, ensuring quality of output is of the highest standard.

§  Work with the sales team to identify opportunities for campaign initiatives and develop effective, innovative solutions.

§  Assist in the identification and adoption of new marketing channels/tech.

§  Work with SEO and PPC teams to ensure planned marketing work and on-site developments are executed to a high standard and meet deadlines.

§  Implementing email marketing campaigns, to drive effective results and ROI to our client’s sites.

§  Collaborate closely with sales team, to promote account growth and increase product penetration.

§  Use our in-house analytics platform as well as Google Analytics to analyse campaign performance and guide recommendations for improving ROI.

§  Monitor campaign performance and KPIs, reporting back externally and internally and transferring learnings into improvements in ROI.

§  Produce monthly marketing reports for selected clients and present to clients.

§  Attend client meetings to review performance and pitch upselling opportunities.

§  Using a Content Management System to construct web pages and new sections of car dealer websites, amending content and building campaign landing pages.

§  Creating and updating offer pages, to help drive additional conversion.

§  Actively research and keep up-to-date with online marketing trends.

§  Drive team efficiency through effective time management and other key KPIs.


Your Profile

You will be able to demonstrate initiative and combine an up-to-date knowledge of digital marketing best practice with commercial awareness and an innovative approach, building effective marketing campaigns which respond to a challenge or opportunity within the automotive retail market.


Key Responsibilities

§  A demonstrable knowledge of digital marketing best practices and an ability to apply these to client campaigns in a strategic manner

§  Strong commercial awareness

§  Innovative and self-motivated

§  Up-to-date understanding of the principles of SEO, PPC & display advertising, content marketing and social media

§  Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data constructively

§  Familiarity with Google Analytics

§  Excellent interpersonal skills, both on the telephone and in person

§  Strong written communication skills


Desirable Skills 

§  Experience working in the automotive industry is not essential but would be an advantage

§  Agency-side experience

§  Marketing degree or formal marketing qualification

§  1+ years experience in a client-facing marketing role



£21,000 - £23,000 depending on experience  



Office Based in Kent or Birmingham
