The Role

As part of a large-scale transformation from waterfall delivery to agile (Development team of over 50), Gforces needs an additional Scrum Master. The successful candidate will establish and facilitate the operation of up to two agile teams in parallel as the company transitions into scaled agile delivery. The role will include the following responsibilities;


Key Responsibilities
  • Key objective is establishing the operation of a high-performing, self-organising team or teams (2 maximum)
  • Coaches the team rather than manages
  • Remove progress blockers / impediments
  • Facilitates planning, meetings, reviews and reporting of metrics
  • Escalates impediments as appropriate via the Scrum of Scrums process
  • Shields team from external interference and distractions to ensure maximum sprint velocity achieved
  • Enforces timeboxes and keeps Scrum artefacts visible
  • Has no management authority over the team




§  First level Scrum Master certification (CSM, PSM, AgilePM)

§  Experience performing in a Scrum Master role within a software development team for at least 2 years.

§  Competence in agile metrics reporting inclusive of burndown / burnup metrics

§  Able to facilitate agile ceremonies including standups, retrospectives, demonstrations, backlog refinement and sprint planning

§  Understanding of, and confidence performing as a servant leader, empowering teams, removing impediments, resolving conflicts and fostering continuous improvement


§  Scaled Agile Framework (SAFE Agile qualification)

§  Previous involvement in a transformation from Waterfall delivery to Agile

§  Knowledge of internet technologies

§  Strong understanding of DevOps and how it works alongside Agile



£45,000 - £50,000



Office Based, remote working to be agreed at managers discretion
